Hi, I’m Nathan, born and based in Northumberland, with a background in digital inclusion, communications and community engagement within the charity and voluntary sector.
My journey into digital support began as a volunteer Digital Champion, helping people build confidence with technology and access the digital world in a supportive and approachable way. That experience eventually led to communications and digital roles within the sector, supporting charities and community organisations with social media, website management, digital content and engagement.
Through this work, I saw how many organisations struggle to keep up with the growing demands of digital communications while balancing limited time, funding and resources. I also saw the difference clear, accessible and community-focused digital support can make.
That’s why I created NM Digital.
I wanted to offer practical and approachable support tailored to charities, community groups and small organisations, helping them strengthen their online presence, communicate their impact clearly and feel more confident digitally without the overly corporate approach often found elsewhere.
I’m passionate about helping communities be heard and making digital support feel accessible, supportive and genuinely useful.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to support and work alongside charities, voluntary organisations and community-focused projects across Northumberland and the wider North East.
Started as a volunteer Digital Champion, supporting people to build confidence with technology through practical and approachable digital support within community settings.
Progressed into Digital Inclusion and Communications roles, supporting social media management, website updates, digital content, community engagement and communications across the voluntary and community sector. This work involved helping promote projects, events and the impact of charities and community organisations across Northumberland.
Currently working as a Technology Enablement Coordinator, supporting people with sight loss and visual impairments through accessible technology and digital support.
This role includes helping individuals improve digital confidence, independence and accessibility through practical guidance, assistive technology and personalised support tailored to individual needs.
